It’s been almost a week since Bishop Thinh Nguyen and Bishop Rene Ramirez RCJ returned from Rome, where they attended what is affectionately known as the annual ‘Baby Bishops’ School’. Bishop Thinh says he feels blessed to have met Pope Leo. ‘I told him that I’m from Melbourne, Australia. Then I told him about the Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement, which is very strong in Australia. I said they’d love to have your autograph, and he said okay and signed it. That stuck with me, just how friendly and accommodating he was towards me and to the other bishops as well.’
